TRENT SARAFINCHAN

Guitarist, Vocalist

I attended Grant McEwan college taking the music program in 1990. My musical influences are Rush, Pink Floyd and the Hip. I've played in many original and cover bands in over 30 years of playing guitar.

AINSLEY MULLINER

Drummer

I started playing drums at 14 when I heard Smells Like Teen Spirit which led to me playing in a Nirvana cover band for years. We eventually started playing punk rock originals. More recently I've played in some rock and metal bands.  Now it's a "CINCH"!

GREG REYNOLDS

Bassist

I started playing bass at 26 when a guitarist friend of mine handed me one and told me to play along. It was Meatplow from Stone Temple Pilots and I was hooked right away. Within a year I was in a couple of bands and eventually got into the bar scenes of Eastern Ontario, Montreal and northern New York state. In 2006 I left music behind when I moved west but the bug caught up to me in 2013 and I'm now happily holding down the low end in CINCH.

MATHEW BARBER

Guitarist, Vocalist

Born in West London more years ago than I care to think about, I grew up in East Anglia listening to the early punk greats – The Damned, The Clash, The Buzzcocks, The Sex Pistols. I took up guitar as a teenager as a means to pick up girls.  It didn't work.  But it did get me out in front of an audience, and theeafter I was hooked.  My first gig – aged 16 - was in a punk band called “Death Warmed Up”.  A few bars into the second song we were shut down by the cops for being too loud.  Rock-N-Roll!

Since then I’ve been guitarist, vocalist (more often than not both) in bands of all kinds – Pub Rock Covers, Gothic Punk, Disco Party.  Making music – whatever the style – with other people is the most fun you can have with your clothes on! A career move to Canada in 2013 left me without a musical outlet for the last few years.  Cinch is my big comeback.
